Consulting
I possess five years of proven consulting experience for private companies and international development agencies in marketing and livelihood development. I have lived and worked in a variety of cultural environments such as in Africa (Tanzania), Central Asia (China), Southeast Asia (Myanmar, Malaysia, and Singapore), Europe (Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia) and within the multi-cultural environment of the United Nations in Geneva. During these experiences I have developed strong cross-cultural and interpersonal skills and am capable of working either within a team environment or with limited supervision.
With a submitted PhD and other consultancy experience, my data collection and analytical skills using mixed methods are second to none this allows me to write concise and clear reports that are evidence-based. In addition, I possess a management information systems major and coupled with nine years of lecturing experience my ICT skills and experience in using WORD, EXCEL, Powerpoint and internet are exemplary.
Lecturing in Marketing
With nine years of international experience as a lecturer in marketing, I have taught a range of marketing subjects to over 7,500 students in Australia, China, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. I have worked in renowned tertiary institutions such as La Trobe University (Australia), Nilai University (Malaysia), Asia Pacific Management Institute (Singapore/Hong Kong), Ballarat University (Australia), Outer Eastern TAFE (Australia) and Central South University (China); all with exceptional student reviews and references.
I have developed, coordinated and delivered marketing subjects that include Marketing Research, International Marketing, Selling and sales Management, Marketing Communications, Strategic Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Electronic Marketing, International Trade Data and Documentation, International Trade Customs Controls and Functions and Introduction to Marketing.
In all my marketing subject deliveries I remain focussed on student learning outcomes, whilst utilising up-to-date technologies and am experienced with on-line delivery modes.
Livelihoods and Market Systems Development
With a PhD on the topic of sustainable livelihoods and market systems development, I am an expert in various livelihood, socioeconomic development and marketing models. Within my PhD studies I had developed a results and monitoring framework for a hybrid sustainable livelihoods and market system framework specifically of use during socioeconomic transitions in developing countries.
