About cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer when you visit our website and do not harm your hardware or software. Their storage is under the full control of the user’s browser – it can limit or disable the storage of cookies as desired. A cookie is a small file, usually containing a sequence of letters and numbers, that is downloaded to the user’s computer when the user visits a certain website. Cookies are primarily intended to ensure the functioning of the website. In addition, we can use them to provide a better user experience. They are downloaded via the browser during the first visit to the website. The next time you return to the page using the same device, the browser can check whether a related cookie is present (that is, the one containing the name of the page) and use the information from the cookie and send it back to the page. This allows websites to recognize that a user has previously visited them and, in some cases, adapt the displayed content accordingly.

When starting to use the online store, the visitor of the online store is assigned a cookie for identification and ensuring traceability (“cookie”). The servers automatically collect data on how visitors, merchants or shoppers use the online store and store this data in the form of an activity log. The servers store information about the use of the online store, statistical data and IP numbers. Data on the use of the online store by shoppers can be used by the company for anonymous statistical processing that serves to improve the user experience and for marketing products and/or services via the online store.

Indirectly and upon obtaining consent, the online store can also store cookies from external services (e.g. Google Analytics) on the visitor’s or shopper’s device, which serve to anonymously collect data about website visits.

Cookies are not harmful and are always limited in time.

The use of cookies in the European Union (EU) is determined by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive 2002/58/EC, whose article relating to cookies and similar technologies was amended by Directive 136/2009. In Slovenian legislation, the use of cookies is determined by the Electronic Communications Act, or ZEKom-1 (Official Gazette No. 109/2012), Article 157 of which constitutes the legal basis for concern for the privacy of Internet users.

Why are cookies necessary?

They are fundamental to providing user-friendly online services. The interaction between the online user and the website is faster and simpler with the help of cookies. With their help, the website remembers the individual’s preferences and experiences, thus saving time and making website browsing more efficient and friendly.

The company assigns a cookie to each user at the start of each use of the online store for identification, tracking the shopping basket and ensuring traceability, which is stored in the server memory only for the duration of the visit to the online store and is deleted after one hour of inactivity. The company can also store some permanent cookies on the user’s PC, such as the user’s identification number in an encrypted form for identification on the next visit to the online store or the evaluation of articles, with the help of which the user knows which articles he has already evaluated, and indirectly also the cookies of the external service Google Analytics, which serve to analyze visits to the website.

The company can use this data in an anonymized summary form for statistical analysis purposes. For the purposes of ensuring online security, the company also collects IP addresses from which users access the online store.

Plug-ins and third-party tools, used as cookies, enable the functionality to work, help analyze the frequency of visits and the way websites are used. We only use these cookies if you have expressly agreed to this. You decide to use cookies yourself. You can always remove cookies and thereby remove your online visibility.
